About the RolePart-time (minimum 25 hours per week)6 month leave replacement position with potential for ongoing opportunities within our  OSHC / ELC / Junior School campusImmediate startAbove Award remunerationA fantastic opportunity exists for an OSHC Coordinator to join our vibrant Early Learning team.  You will work closely  with  the Manager, educational leader and other relevant staff members to  ensure   the  service  provides  a  safe,  secure  and  consistent environment that supports each individual child, as well as the overall group, on their educational journey.   We value and place importance on each child’s ideas, needs and thoughts in order to enhance a sense of belonging and to create a safe environment in which children can play and learn. Our programs are built on established pedagogical approaches to ensure that each child’s current knowledge, strengths, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are respectfully reflected and embedded within the curriculum.Working with a team of exceptional and dedicated educators you will contribute to providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment that supports each individual child, as well as the overall group, on their educational journey.  Key Responsibilities Daily planning and organisation of the service’s activitiesDevelop and implement programs that encourage independent learning, critical thinking skills and maximises and respects children’s ability to learnEnsure programs reflect a balance of all areas of development that provides both challenging, inclusive and age appropriate activitiesProvide a high level of safety, supervision and support to children within the serviceEnsure all families receive appropriate communication when arriving and departingBuild meaningful relationships with children, families, and the Collegiate school communityRole Requirements To be considered for this role you must have:A minimum of an approved Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (or be actively working towards)Current and approved first aid qualification, emergency asthma management training and anaphylaxis management trainingHigh level documentation and presentation skillsKnowledge of and the ability to implement strength based practiceKnowledge of and the ability to implement a curriculum that is appropriate to the development of each childDedication and passion for enhancing the lives and educational journey of young children and othersA keen interest in lifelong learning and inquiryAbility to multi-task and work as part of a consistent and cohesive teamSound knowledge of Workplace Health and SafetyA working knowledge of all aspects of the National Quality FrameworkExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA willingness to work within the School's Christian ethos and actively support the values and philosophy of the SchoolSalary Range$29.00 - $33.00 per hour Remuneration is in accordance with the successful applicant’s experience and the St Michael's Collegiate School (General Staff and Early Learning and Education and Care Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2018Employment ConditionsSt  Michael’s Collegiate School is an organisation committed to Child Protection and to the implementation of child safe policies and practices.Our organisation undertakes several screening processes to ensure the appropriate protection of children in its care.
