About the Role1 year contract  positionPart-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE)Immediate startWe  are seeking  a suitably skilled and  experienced Sports Administrator to manage Collegiate' s senior school sporting program for an immediate start. The position is responsible for the administration, coordination and content of the School’s sporting and co-curricular programs in the Secondary School for students in Years 7 to 12.Reporting to the Deputy Principal the position works closely the Primary Sports and Carnivals and Events  Administrator to ensure a wide variety of co-curricular sport is offered to students.Key duties associated with the role includes:the provision of high quality interschool sporting opportunities for studentsproviding appropriate support for coaching and umpiring teamscoordination and management of term sporting programs in line with SSATIS rosterschool representation at all SSATIS and SATIS meetingsmanagement of coaches, managers and volunteersmaintaining sports records and reporting as required, andmanagement of sports budgetThe successful candidate will have:Love of sport and passion for both participation and excellence in sportExtensive sports knowledge: AFL, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country, Equestrian, Hockey, Netball, Orienteering, Rowing, Sailing, Soccer, Softball, Surfing, Surf Lifesaving, Swimming, Tennis, Touch Football, Volleyball, Water Polo (desirable)Ability to inspire girls to participate in sportWell-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to interact effectively with students and a range of school community members, including those acting in a voluntary capacity, ie. team coaches and managersHigh level of organisational and management skills in a school sporting environmentAbility to work independentlyClear understanding of Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and regulationsAdministrative abilities with a high level of computer skillsA current driver’s licenseAn ability to be flexible in working hours when applicableThe full role description and selection criteria is available on the School's website careers.collegiate.tas.edu.au Our staff are expected to be supportive of the School's Christian ethos, work as collaborative team players and to positively contribute to the teaching, learning and spiritual culture of the School that contribute towards our Mission, Purpose and Values.RemunerationClassification Level 4: $33.49 per hour.In accordance wih the St Michael's Collegiate School (General Staff and Early Childhood Education and Care Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2018.About St Michael's Collegiate SchoolSt Michael’s Collegiate is a leading Anglican girls’ school in the heart of Hobart, Tasmania.
